Gala wanted to compete with their bigger competitors on the Christmas ad circuit, but had a much smaller budget to work with. To create a big Christmas film on shoestring, we worked closely with production company, Banjoman, and director, Claire Byrne, to strategically write and create “The Recipe”. The 90” film piece tells the touching story of a girl who attempts to recreate her late mother’s famous Christmas cake, even though he can’t find the recipe anywhere.Each new baking attempt brings another disappointing result - and another trip to Gala.
